Why is it that everywhere I go the most common
question I hear is, “What is your religion?” Religion? Where is that in the Bible? Show me! Its not!That is because it is not about religion. It is not about what church you go to. It is not about your status in life. It is not about your job, your house, your car, or even your family. It is about a relationship with God. That is the whole point to life. Do you have it? A relationship with the Creator of the Heavens and the earth? Can you speak to Him? Can you ask Him for anything and He will give it to you? Can you say that God Almighty calls you son or daughter? Did you know that if you answered no to any of these questions, that you can! You can have a relationship with God!! You can ask Him for anything according to His will and He is faithful to give it to you. It all starts with His Son, Jesus.
God has His hand out saying, ” Come to me and I will give you the desires of your heart.” All you have to do is believe! Believe that His only Son, Jesus, died on the cross for your sins. Believe it with your heart and confess it with your mouth and you shall be saved. You can have a real, tangible realtionship with the Lord of Lords. With the King of Kings. It is the greatest gift there is. We don’t deserve it. But because of God’s Grace and infinite mercy and love, He is faithful to forgive and forget all of our sins. All of them. Sin is sin in the eyes of God. It doesn’t matter what you have done or how many times you have done it. If you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, confess your sins, and ask for forgiveness; You are forgiven!! You don’t have to change first. God changes you. You can come to God just as you are. Right in the middle of your mess. Right in the middle of your sin. He is just a prayer away. God loves you and waits anxiously to hear from you.
God has changed my life! I came to Him on my knees begging for Him to come into my life. I asked Him to forgive me of my many, many sins. I came to Him right where I was. In the midst of my darkness. In the depths of the pit I was in. I asked that Jesus would save my soul. I prayed a prayer that forever changed my life. Since then I have had a relationship with God Almighty. He has blessed my life far more than I could have ever dreamed. I look at where I came from and it is amazing what God has done in my life. If you knew me from before I found God, you can testify that I was a wretched person. But now, there is no doubting what God has done in my life.
