Team SoL went to work with a charity organization, Betel of Ireland, that opens its door to the homeless and addicts. We went walking around neighborhood all around the Bray and the surrounding area to pass out fliers. The fliers asked people to donate furniture and nick-nacks to the charirty and it also promoted a landscaping and gardening business that they have started to give the men that come in a job and money to get them back on their feet.

There was a man there name Levi that was from Malawi. He walked around with me and another guy named Mick who was from England. Levi wasn’t there for drugs or rehab, but to help reach out to the men there and to share the Word of God and His Love. Levi is so ON FIRE for the Lord! He has been saved and following Jesus for 20 years now. His passion and wisdom insipres me and encourages me for the journey to come.

As we walked we did nothing, but talk about and praise God. He would say a scripture and I would finish it with the book and verse where it came from in the Bible. He, in turn, would finish the scripture that I would quote with the book and verse. the Spirit inside of me was feeding off of him and his was feeding off of me. We were encouraging and inspiring eachother by speaking the Word and praising God. It got to a point where I got drunk in the Spirit and could not stop laughing. I was so full of Joy that I could not contain it any longer. I walked house to house delivering fliers and for thirty minutes straight could not contain my laughter. He also could not stop laughing by the mere fact that I was laughing. It was a vicious cycle.

I spent two days total with the guys at Betel and Levi. I felt like I had found a long lost brother that I had been missing all my life. I felt as if I had known him all my life. After less than 48 hours I was closer to him than many people that I have known for several months, even years. I was able to share my testimony and preach with them. After I shared with them we had a time to pray for one another. I walked up to Levi and he began to pray for me. After I prayed for himm he began to pray for me again, only this time he began to weep. He thanked God for me and blessed me much more than anyone has ever blessed me. He prayed that I would go farther and do more than he ever has or could. We stood up and gave each other a huge, brotherly hug.

I then walked over to try and fix the music on the stereo and Mick walked up to me. He said, “As you were speaking, a Word of scripture kept coming to me, Romans 10:14-15.” He read it to me and told me how it related to the very thing that we are doing. He then asked me if he could bless my feet. I told him yes. He kneeled down and put his hands on my feet and began to bless and pray over my feet and the journey ahead. He prayed for the places that my feet would take me and the people that they would take me to. It was one of the most humbling experiences of my life. After that we spent the last few moments talking and taking pictures. Then we had to say our goodbye’s. It took me 30 minutes to say goodbye to Levi. It was one of the hardest people I had to say goodbye to. Right before I jumped in the truck to leave, I picked Levi up and spun him around. I love that man!! I blessed him probably 20 times and finally got in the truck. I will never forget him. I will see you again brother!! If not here on this earth, then in Heaven where we will spend an eternity praising and talking about God!!! Jesus is Lord!!!!
