This past Wednesday August 18, 2010 was my birthday. I turned 24! My family came up with the amazing idea to have a birthday party for me in Valdosta and have me video skype with them from Haiti. Well I wasn’t able to skype because the internet was down and out so they made me a video of the party so I could see them and they could wish me a Happy Birthday. Honestly, it brought tears to my eyes!! I love you guys so much. Thank you to everyone that came and celebrated my birthday with me: Mom, Dad, Lindsey, Shanna, Quincy, Carmen, Caleb, Micah, Pastor Dennis, Damien, Dorian, Ken, Bob, Sheri, Debra, and Jolyn. It blessed me so much for you all to be there and to come out and support me!! Even though I know that we all wanted to skype eachother very badly I am so thankful for the video and the fact that you all came!! I also want to thank everyone for your birthday wishes and your support.
I spent my birthday in Haiti with my amazing teammates and wonderful Haitian kids! The table that I sit at baked me a cake, gave me a coke(WITH ICE!!!), an alvacado(I now love alvacados and they know it), candy, and a card that they all signed. Each person on my team told me 1 thing they love about me, prayed over me, gave me a card, and gave me an awesome t-shirt that they all signed and wrote their favorite Bible verse. It will definitely be the most memorable birthday I have ever had!! I love you all!! You made my birthday VERY SPECIAL!! God Bless You All!
