Saturday August 14, 2010 – The time is 5:00 a.m. Tara, Mari, Jeff, Lamy, Me, Stanley, Marceline, and Breck are heading out for a 12 mile hike to a mountain called K’Piate. K’Piate has a spring at the top that serves as a water supply for much of the north Haiti area. The spring is beautiful and a very rewarding view for all those who dare to treck 6 miles there and 6 miles back. We started out early to try to beat the heat of the day. The landscape around us declares that God is creator of all and that He is faithful to give us our hearts desire.

The hike to the top was hard, yet very much worth it. We were able to refill our water bottles with natural spring water and were able to enjoy a view that I could only compare to the Garden of Eden (which we can only imagine what it looks like).  Lamy, our guide, brought us to an area of the spring that resembled a pool and said, “Jump in!”  Without much hesitation I said, “You got it!”

I couldn’t stop praising God for the amazing places and people that He has allowed me to take part of. I am constantly reminded of how much God loves us and how much His grace covers us. There is NOTHING that we could do or not do that could make Him love us any less or more. He is never changing. He is the same today as He was since the beginning of time. He knows all of your hearts desires and He is faithful in giving you all that you need and want, if you believe and are obedient to Him. He is the only TRUE GOD! He is Jehovah. He is Yahweh. He is the Father! There is no one like Him! The only way to Him is through Jesus Christ, Our Messiah, Our Savior, Our King, Our Lord!! Worthy is the Lamb that was slain! Worthy is your name alone Jesus! He gives us abundant life! He gives us His Spirit so that we know how to live! All Glory, Honor, and Praise be to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!!

The walk back was a time of reflection. I thanked God for all the things that I could think of. I thanked Him for bringing me here, for my team, for my family, for my friends, for all the things that I took for granted that I didn’t realize how much i love now that I don’t have them, for my church, for my pastors, for my life, for my salvation, for my joy, for my peace, for everything!

Thank you to God, my family, and all my supporters that made all this possible. God Bless You Richly!!
