Today.

Today was crazy.

Today was crazy awesome and exactly how I want to live each day.

Okay, let me explain.

After my quiet time today, I felt so filled up by the Holy Spirit that I knew He was calling me out to town to spill His hope and love onto the beautiful people of Thamel, Nepal.

I specifically sensed that God wanted me to share His story in John 4 of the woman at the well with my Nepali friend. I’ll call him Bim.

Bim and I go waaaaay back. Way back to four days ago when our funny relationship began. Bim is a former drug dealer and alcoholic with a beautiful wife and two girls, who has now been sober for 12 years (Praise Jesus!) The second day of our friendship, God told me to go and find Bim at his usual spot and pray for him to come to Jesus in a dream. I have seen him each day since and we are now good pals.

Alright enough backstory.

Today God told me to share this story with Bim, so I quickly got ready to leave our little home. While doing so, I left my wallet pursposely behind so I wouldn’t even have the chance to spend money. I also grabbed 16 little gummie packets I had bought hoping to see my little friends I had met yesterday when they got out of school.

On my 25 minute walk to meet Bim at his usual place, I thought to myself:

Wow, it sure would be nice to sit down and share this story with him over tea.

Yet I remembered I had left my wallet, and I trusted that we would have the conversation that God intended regardless.

As I continued on my walk, a store owner called out to me in French saying “Bonjour, comment se va?” To which I laughingly responded, “se va bien!” with my little knowledge of West African French. In passing, he asked if I was French, I said no and continued excitedly walking to go meet Bim.

I finally finished my walk to the heart of Thamel, and guess what the first words that came out of Bim’s mouth were when he saw me?

To be continued…

Over and out,
