In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’m doing a post about love. Love is something that everyone wants and needs. There is no one on Earth that doesn’t want to be loved and God made us that way on purpose. We get love in different ways. Love between parents and children, spouses, siblings, friends, etc… But one of the most important, and most forgotten about, kind of love is self-love. A fellow squad member of mine, Laura Joplin, wrote a blog post about inner beauty and it was a beautiful and powerful post.(if you haven’t read it, read it here) Anyway, in her post she talked about how everyone at some point, struggles with their outward appearance and their flaws. It’s a very common problem in our society today. Part of loving yourself is loving everything about yourself, even your flaws. They are what make us beautiful and unique, and when we start to love everything, even our flaws, it will be easier for us to love ourselves. So love yourself! Look in the mirror and admire yourself because you’re beautiful. God made you with every flaw and he loves them unconditionally!
