Julia, Jules, Julliard, School Yard, what a gal!
At the beginning of January, I had no clue what a deep friendship we would hold, but I am so happy and proud to call you one of my best friends at this point. I seriously wake up everyday excited to do life with you. I don’t know if my words will do you any justice at all, but I will try my absolute best.
About a month ago when team changes came around I know you were sad to see your old team go, but boy was I excited for you to be a part of our new team. You have such a good head on your shoulders and I was thrilled to have a new sister. The crazy part was that at this point I hardly knew you and looking back I thank Jesus for bringing you into my life and “forcing” our paths to cross.
Over the past month or so as we have gotten closer and closer I have truly seen you bloom (crazy that this is your key). You are a sweet girl full of sarcasm and amazing humor. You NEVER fail to make me laugh and I feel like you just get me. Conversation always comes easy with you even though I haven’t always seen the videos you are referencing ?? (thank you for ALWAYS forgiving my ignorance haha). You are the first to break down on the dance floor and make me feel safe to do the same. Oh my goodness!! Doing life with you is seriously the best!!
Julia Nicole Barker, I hope you know there is so much to be learned from you! You are always so enthusiastic. I love how excited you get about the smallest of things because it makes all things that much sweeter. You are a true woman of peace. In your presence I automatically feel safe, calm, and collected even on the most stressful of chicken bus rides. You are so organized and have such an administrative (leadership) mindset. Praise Jesus for you or else all the logistics of the beach trip may have just fallen through. You are the first person to take a question or idea to the next level and do some research to make it happen. You are super vulnerable and so willing to share a glimpse of your life with others to further the kingdom. It makes me feel so good and so safe that you open up to all of us as a team and truly share what you are feeling on your heart. You are so generous with all that you have. Whether it is medicine if one of us is sick, food if one of us is hungry, your computer to watch movies if we are bored, your money if we are lacking, your clothes if we are sick of our own, etc. you are more than willing to step up and share. You treat everyone with a love that comes from the father and I have been more than blessed by you.
So, to wrap is all up, you are just an incredible human my sweet friend. Thank you for opening up and allowing me into your world. I will forever be thankful for you and the impact you have made and will continue to make in my life. Jesus is so proud of you and the women you are becoming and striving to be each and every day. I hope you truly understand how much I value you and the friendship you have brought to me. Love you to the moon and back!! <3
