Yes. There is. Not the pet store, but a guy named Petko. He has become my friend this month. I have realized I have managed to make at least 1 special friend each month. This month, Petko traveled with us around Bulgaria. I will forever remember our times together and will always laugh when I reminisce.
Picture Allen from "the Hangover". If you have not seen this movie, nor am I recommending it!, Allen is a character that many people mention when they think of the movie. He is carefree, he is not always "all there", he is constantly wearing a satchel (or a man purse) and is just a overall fun guy. Petko is this to a T. Except fortunately in his case, he loves the Lord!!

I saw a man who follows Pastor Mladen and shares the love of God. He desperately wants to serve God and be a good man. He has a wife (or "woman" to him) and a baby. He is trying to provide for them, but it is difficult to find a job. In fact, he puts stickers advertising his roofing business on every free telephone pole there is! I admire his desire to be a good husband and father.
I loved how he was so passionate about everything he did. He ate with passion, he talked with passion, he laughed with passion and most importantly he prayed with passion. He has dreams of continuing to minister in the church by preaching, singing and playing the piano. I pray God opens doors for him and grants him the desires of his heart. He sure does deserve it!
I will always remember his broken English. Ironically, out of the 6 of us I was the only one who was able to understand him. Some of my favorite sayings were: "Julia, come to me. Facebook" (he loved facebook), "Pam, I love you toilet" (we always took advantage of public restrooms), "Problem" (summed things up when things were not right), and "Bugs bunny is dead" (describing the time when the driver hit a bunny on the road). I could go on and on with all of his sayings, but I know they won't be as funny to you without knowing him. I just wish everyone could meet him. Life with Petko is definitely more exciting!!

He Loves the Lord with all of his Heart!

Even playing the piano with his bag on:)

Even though we couldn't really communicate, we did bible study together.

He always makes friends!
