Oh happy day
Woah. Yesterday was one adventure after another. And each instance it was so evident that God was there. We started our day as usual. We took our trip to Denny's and had a great breakfast. We piled in the truck. Pam, Kellie, Jah Jah, Karilyn and Henry were in the bed of the truck. We had such a fun time singing Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin songs to the TOP of our lungs. We started up the mountain and half way up we heard a loud noise from the bottom of the truck. Ms. Teresa pulled over and we were right at a little auto shop. Such a God thing. She got out of the truck and the man and Donny, another missionary, got under the truck to see what was going on. As soon as they were under there, the brake released and started rolling backwards. We all panicked. I just said the name Jesus. Elissa was in the front seat and The Lord allowed her to press the brake. We were rolling back into a curve. No cars came through. It was miracle 2. Kellie and Savannah were able to pray with the man at the store so I believe that was also a God thing. I pray he is blessed.
We had a a great day finishing our week at the tilapia pond. It was cold, but we were thankful we weren't sweating to death.
Ms. Teresa wanted to treat us to a hot shower and a massage for our hard work. We headed home. We were having a great conversation when we came up to our normal intersection. We have been there each day this week with no problems. Today there was a protest/strike in which 2,000 people walk down the street and block all traffic. Ms. Teresa told us to put our heads down because the people hate North Americans. She was able to push through the traffic and we went about 20 blocks around in order to avoid the strike. She said it can get really wild at times even with cars being turned over or torched. It was such a miracle for us not to be on our own in that intersection like every other day this week.
We finally made it to her house and had a hot shower! Oh my word. It was amazing. Then I had a 30 minute full body massage for $10. It was so nice to have all our muscles relaxed. To top it all off we were able to have McDonald's and sit on the couch and just enjoy each other. Such a happy day!
