We are not a team because we work together we are a team because we respect, trust and care for each other.

Our team took our first adventure outing together and it was such a treat. We visited The beaches of Manual Antonio, we hiked through a trail in the rainforest with monkeys in the tree tops down a cliff to find hidden cream colored sandy beaches in a cove that only locals knew of. We had the privilege of being guided by our Tica (Costa Rican) family and we are so glad we followed their advice. We felt the strength of the waves of the Pacific Ocean crashing over our bodies. We tasted too many mouthfuls of the saltiness of the waters. We experienced the power of the currents and the pull of the moon on the tides that quickly engulfed the sandy beaches we played on. We climbed up the black volcanic looking rocks covered with coral that decorated the coastline, we watched as we climbed with each step as the crabs ran to find a new crevice safe away from our footsteps. At the top of the rock pilings we had breathtaking views of a desolate beach untouched by human foot traffic.
I am so glad to have shared this experience with my team and Tica family. It brought us closer, it made us stronger and it built memories that I will always hold close to my heart and be grateful for. Playa Manuel Antonio & Biesanz I will see you again.
As the second week of the first country of the World Race comes to a close I don’t have many words to share however it is said that a picture is worth a thousand words so have a look for yourselves
