We arrived in Dublin yesterday morning at 5:00am local time. By the time we reached base camp, where we will be staying until Sunday, AIM staff had planned a full day for us to travel into Dublin and spend the day exploring the city to acclimatize to the new time zone.  We got to see the city and wander the beautiful cobbledstones streets of Dublin and see all the Irish pubs. I now see context to the Irish pubs back home and its decor.  As beautiful as the city was, most of us were barely able to keep up from our fatigue. In spurts of downtime, we caught quick 15 to 30 minute naps when we could – just lying on the grass of a park, or while we were sitting on the bus, or waiting for the bus.

We are situated in a campsite until Sunday where we will be in training before we head off to our first ministry destination in Coleraine which is Northern Ireland. We will be working in a seniors facility but I don’t have the details of what we will be doing.

My bag also arrived safely 🙂  There was a scare as 3 people did not get their bags but showed up a few flights later.

Will blog more about the ministry when we have a chance to use internet again.
