So month 3 (November) on The World Race is THAILAND!
Thailand means “Land of the Free.” I love having fun as we gear up for all of this and am so excited for The World Race, but there are going to be tough times, too. Please just take a moment to pray for all those involved in human trafficking. It’s a touchy subject, but a real one nonetheless. Praying with you that the meaning Land of the Free will be restored and human trafficking will end in Thailand, other countries, and in our own land, as well. Almost 30 million people are enslaved today. So many beautiful countries and people being harmed by this modern day slavery.
Also, please say a prayer for our team, both the people sending and those of us going, as we prepare for whatever God calls us to. Everyone is where they are for a reason…it all works together!

About a year ago, I was at a Juice Plus conference and the speaker asked us to write down a goal that was bigger than ourselves. That said, I wrote, “To end sex trafficking.” I had no idea where to begin or what to do. This area has haunted me since I heard about it. We all have areas where we struggle in life, sure, but to be enslaved in almost every way possible…physically, mentally, emotionally…how, how? Within 2 weeks I was at the Women’s Conference at church. A lady named Dana Nuesca was there representing Seeds of Hope, an organization which helps women in Costa Rica. They form relationships with these women, share the love and hope of Jesus, get them into a safe place and teach them a trade, such as jewelry making. It was fascinating and heartbreaking to learn more about this hidden or sometimes not so hidden, horrific world that exists in countries all over the world and even in our own backyard. I don’t have all the answers…none, really…but I do know that God has given us free will and calls us to pray. He still despises evil and He is moving in this area. I just heard a quote…”The opposite of love is not hate. The opposite of love is indifference.” This is by Elie Wiesel, a holocaust survivor. Hard to know where to start…thank God for prayer and His direction. Praying with you and for you as we pray. He’s led me to be able to help…if even a drop in the bucket…and He has lead you here, too.
