Want to remember this moment so I can look back and say, “OH MY GOODNESS, it all came together!
It’s 4:52 am and I’m up! Tired, but up! A friend shared this sweet quote on her wall, “He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23…”You pray to a faithful God. He is moved by the sound of your voice.”
So grateful for this reminder! My goodness, it’s been a whirlwind! Feeling a bit of the pressure right now and would love to join with you in prayer! Unpacking literally and figuratively from the precious Africa/Italy/Connecticut trip, packing multiple bags for World Race Training Camp and THE trip in September, cleaning out and packing up my life to move into storage for a year, getting all the necessary gear, trying to spend time with people in the process, fundraising in the midst…Our God is big and I am feeling small…so much in such a little bit of time! Pray as you feel led. Praying for you, too.
Thankful for prayer warrior friends, encouragers, and helpers! Also grateful to just find out tonight that I’ll have the opportunity to speak at church…in front of approximately 400 people (more prayers, please :o))! It’s the day I get after I get back from training camp (July 20), which I leave for on Thursday (It’s Wednesday morning)…just want to say what God wants and share what He desires…prayers…yes, again :o)! Not sure which pictures to use, if any, and won’t have much time to practice… Many stories have popped into my mind…pray I’ll be able to talk as if to a dear friend and not freak out about a microphone and about 399 more people in the conversation! I have 5 minutes and I want God to shine through as He desires, joyfully, powerfully, beautifully, just as He’s led about this trip so far. Not me with any fears, insecurities, and points. Him, with peace, confidence, and love.
It’s unreal to me that we, yes, we…I couldn’t do it without you!…have raised over $6000 in about 2 months. Almost to halfway! Just under $10,000 to go. Will you pray that those God calls to join this team with us will answer His call? And I know God has His time, but we are allowed to ask… I don’t know about you, but I’m excited, like Christmas, to see how it happens, who God sends and calls to join…so pray people come in the very near future…oh the anticipation! My heart jumped and got so excited and smiled when your name was added…and I literally jumped and even danced, too! Each person brings an element, a prayer thought, an investment, a dynamic that makes this team, this trip, this mission what it is and what it will be, makes it possible. God is God and will have His way, but He delights in bringing His body together in such a way that each piece of the puzzle fits together beautifully.
People will pray and lives will be changed…including our own. I know God has His army of prayer warriors in mind for this trip, those who will invest as senders into the lives of the World Race team, the people we will meet, the kids we will play with, the babies we will hold. He has people ready to pray over those who weep and delight with those who are set free.
Alright…so much on the heart…should head back to Sleepland…hopefully! Big day tomorrow. Very excited to have these requests out there because I know He is already answering. Sigh…Thank you. Please share your requests with me. This goes both ways, you know :o).
