God, You are much bigger,

much bigger than You seem.

Even Your smallest of desires,

are to us our biggest dreams.

You take us as You find us,

yet grow us to something more.

Even Your tiniest of treasures

are to us a king’s galore.

For we carry Your greatest Treasure

inside us when we pray,

“Even though I am a sinner,

Jesus, be Lord of my life always.”

To some it may seem hokey,

to some it may seem odd.

Even those who’ve known Your goodness

have at times denied You as God.

But Lord You show Your heart-

“I’ll be with you to the end.”

Even though I am so human,

You simply want to be my friend.

That’s what we get to count on

when life, it seems so big.

Even a moment spent truly seeking

turns a demon into a pig (true story).

We are not promised “easy,”

we are not promised “fair.”

Even though these are often said,

it’s perspective that lays us bare.

How is it that a pauper

has joy shine from his eyes?

Even as he lives in squaller

he’s found a deeper Prize.

You, too, laid aside the glory.

You laid aside the fame.

Even the Master of the Heavens

came to us with no such name.

You came in humble station

While shepherds gave their praise.

Even in Your own descendence (it needs to be a word)

You taught us highest grace.

Oh Father, help us shine You.

We are Yours, created in care.

Even with our awfullest weakness,

You have numbered our every hair.

That may seem small or contrite.

It may not seem important at all.

Even so, it’s pretty amazing

that You answer when we call.

Is it always how we expect it?

Is it always how we hope?

Even though the answer is NO,

do we really have Your scope?

Things hurt. They can be painful,

or even downright…”What!?”

Even so, I know, I KNOW,

You want the best for us.

You’ve given us free will

You don’t make us do what we do.

Even when our minds can’t get it,

we must hold to the Truth.

For this life, it is a river,

sometimes wild sometimes calm.

Even while riding these waters,

If we choose, we stay in Your palm.

So Father, take us, and thank You.

Help more to understand…

Even isn’t even

when God died, then rose, for man.
