As most of you know, Adventures in Missions sent home all of their racers due to the Corona Virus. Borders were closing, and counts were continually going up. Everything was changing over night. Thankfully every racer has made it home safely even with it all being so sudden. Thank  you A.I.M. for all of the hard work you did to accomplish the hectic task of unplanned travel days.

The thought of coming home two months early terrified me and broke my heart. I did not think I was ready to go back to the false comforts that America offers. I wasn’t ready to leave the community built inside my squad throughout the past seven months. I wasn’t ready to leave Nicaragua… a breath of fresh air…peaceful…full of life …. To come to America, filled with hysteria….isolation…heaviness. Going on the race the Lord told us to pick up our cross and follow him no matter where that took us even if it was the eye of the storm. The Lord didn’t promised us that the race would look the way we expected it, and trust me the race was not like anyone expected it. One expectation we all had was nine months and not seven, but that’s not what the Lord had planned. I find comfort in the fact that seven is the number of completion. The race was not left unfinished.  The Lord guided us in all that he had in-store for us on the field and now its time to fight for American revival.

Corona means crown. Don’t let this virus take away the King of Kings, Lord of Lord’s crown in your life. Don’t let it become an idol.  Don’t give it a thrown to relish in the chaos it has sparked. The Lord has authority over every single thing. Find comfort in that. The Lord could shut this virus up in a split second. We have nothing to fear. Nothing to hide from. Even though we have no idea what the Lords plan is through all of this, I know that his plans are greater than mine. Worship the Lord during this time especially. Do anything you can to get your eyes focused on Him and his goodness. HE IS SOVEREIGN. Don’t let the devil make this a foot hold in your life to take your attention off of praising the Lord.  Gods not worried. Death is doing all it can to steal, kill, and destroy. Death doesn’t get the victory. The triumph belongs to THE ALL POWERFUL . In the presence of my savior, I will live forever. Death doesn’t reign.

Psalm 57

David wrote this song while he was fleeing from Saul. In the beginning, he is crying out to God “be merciful to me for in you my soul takes refuge.”  He knew the Lord is the only place he was truly safe . David shows his confidence in the Lord when he says, “He will send from Heaven and save me; He will put to shame him who tramples on me. God will send out his steadfast love and faithfulness.” David doesn’t lose his hope in the Lord even when his soul was in the “midst of lions.” In verse 5 there is a switch to praise and worship. “Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your Glory be over all the Earth!!” He just continues worshiping the Lord through out the rest of the psalm. We need to be more like David. Most of the talk I hear about corona is out of fear. Have confidence in the Lord. Worship the Lord for WHO he is…an Almighty God. Maybe instead of the news to day throw on some worship music. Worship the Lord through baking your neighbors something. Worship Him by diving in to His word, or by just sitting in His presence. Worship has the power to change our heart posture. It reminds us of who is in control.

Every one go listen to “O Death” by people and songs on youtube.

This was a song played on repeat on my race. It is very near and dear to me.

Let this be your fight song
