So I have officially been here in

Gainesville
for a week. It’s not really that long of time yet, but when you’re starting a
new life, it’s huge. I feel like I’ve done so much more this week than I ever
have back home. I wonder why that is. Or maybe I just feel more independent
here. So here’s a list of things I’ve done this week!

  1. Moved
    in!
  2. Got roommates
    (and more!)
  3. Said
goodbye to my wonderful boyfriend, Steve
  4. Slept
    on a deflating air mattress
  5. Started
    a new job
  6. Gotten
    lost
  7. Started
my regular Bible study from back home up here (BSF)
  8. Found
a Jittery Joe’s coffee (big deal!)
  9. Built
    a dresser
  10. Found
    Interstate-400
  11. Built
    a bookshelf
  12. Not
watched TV (gasp…I don’t have it here!)
  13. Went
    to a movie by myself
  14. Grocery
    shopped for myself
  15. Opened
    a new bank account

  16. Drove
    to

    Atlanta to find I didn’t have a
bed waiting for me (darn that Craig’s List!)

All that and I still feel like I have so much free time up
here. It’s pretty relaxing. Next week’s goal…find the mall and hopefully NOT get lost!
