I can’t believe I’ve been living in

Georgia
on my own for two months now! Thank you all for your prayers, support, letters,
cards, and emails. The worst thing would be to move away from somewhere and
have people forget you! I just wanted to let you know how things are going for
me here and update you on the ministry you are supporting through me.

This has been a time of dependence on God more
than anything else. I’m depending on Him for income, for guidance and for
support. It’s a tough place to be at times, but I know God is working something
out in me. I look to Philippians 1:6 for hope, “There has never been the
slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you
would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ
Jesus appears.”

I have gotten to know my roommates
a lot more during this time, and they are truly wonderful people and great
friends. I’m also getting to know my co-workers more as well. It’s exciting
being surrounded by so many people who are like-minded in ministry. Missions is
not just a once a year trip for these people, it’s a way of life. It’s
inspiring and hard to live up to all at the same time. But what a great
environment to learn from!

I have begun attending a new church
as well. Check out my blog “New Home =

New
Church”
for the details on that. God has been faithful in providing community for me
and I’m looking forward to getting involved there too.

The ministry of the World Race has
been immense in these few short months. They’ve gone from
Mexico to
Guatemala,
and then split between
Nicaragua
and

Costa Rica.
From there they travel to

Peru
next month. Some of the most impacting moments have come from the barrios, or
trash heaps, in the Nicaraguan slums. The Racers are going into these dumps,
and just being with the people who live off what they find there. For an
amazing video saga of what they have experienced there (along with other great
stories like “Jose”), check out the World Race YouTube Channel – http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=worldrace.

This is truly a once in a lifetime
experience, to support these teams as they take the world for Christ. I am
looking forward to meeting up with these teams later in the year. As I am
learning quickly (OK, maybe I already knew), the world is unjust. People die
that never had a chance to live, disasters destroy homes and families, and
poverty limits a man’s capability. One cause that has struck my heart cord is
human trafficking. Women and children that are trafficked across international
borders for the purpose of slavery, and more often than not, it is for sex. God
is breaking my heart for these women, forced into prostitution throughout
Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and even

America. I really want to do
something about it. The Racers are spending 9 weeks between
Cambodia and

Thailand, and part of their
ministry is to work with these girls. I want to be there. Please be in prayer
for this cause, this ministry, and more specifically, my involvement.

My support status is steadily
decreasing, now that I am living off of it! I could really use your prayers for
this to change. For me to do any traveling, it must be raised in addition to my
salary support. Needless to say, I’m still a long way off. Please pray about
your financial support of me and ministry.

Thank you for investing in me, my ministry, and the kingdom of heaven. I greatly appreciate it!!
