In the past two weeks we have had a lot change. We finally finished our quarantine period with no covid cases in my squad so we were able to join our cohorts back together. We are all one big family now. Now that cohorts are back together some camping spots opened up so we got to move to a campsite closer to our training center. The showers are finished now so we get to take hot commando showers instead of bucket showers. I was missing the bucket showers for a little bit but now the weather is changing and I’m thankful for the hot water lol. We got to have a giant squad sleepover in the training center because of a tropical storm that made its way to us. Thankfully there wasn’t major damage besides from some peoples tents getting a little wet inside. We have been having learning sessions everyday besides on Saturday and Sunday. There have been some really good sessions that I have learned a lot from, like our session on forgiveness, or feedback, or the difference between guilt and conviction. I have also been spending more time in deep prayer with God, with just him and me. I also have gotten better at setting aside time to read scripture. God has definitely opened up more of it to my eyes and I learn something every time I go over verses I’ve heard all my life. Today was our first church service on campus since the squad is whole now. It was the guys turn to lead the service so we all got up early and made some pancakes and bacon that came from our wonderful squad mentor Kate. After breakfast we headed to the training center where the squad worship team lead us in worship and then we had a fire message from my squad mate Alex on anxiety.

Anybody that has known me before my trip knows I’m not a fan of covid regulations and I’m not afraid of covid. For this reason staying in Georgia for three months because of covid has been hard for me but I am trusting in God that he knows whats best for me. I have however also been praying that God would make a way for my squad to be able to get off campus so that there would be a chance to share Jesus with people. But like Jesus in the garden I have always finished this prayer with the acceptance of God’s will and not my own. With that bit of openness I am excited to say God has shown favor on my squad and answered my prayers!! So from Oct 3rd-10th my squad will be down in De Quincy Louisiana helping Samaritans Purse with Hurricane Laura relief. So please pray for my squad as we travel there and for chances to  share Gods words.
