Hey friends and family!

I have the coolest news to share! Instead of going to college next year, I have decided to step out in faith and go on the World Race: Gap Year.

The World Race is a program through Adventures in Missions, an interdenominational nonprofit missions organization that focuses on discipleship, prayer, and the relationship between God and his people. Established in 1989, it has brought over 100,000 people to the mission field.  I am so honored to have been accepted into this program in order to bring the Word of the Lord and his love all around the World!

In September 2020, I will be leaving to travel to Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Nepal. I will live in each country for two  months. Although each country, month, week, and even day will look different, some of the things the team will be doing includes: ministering to children who are living on the streets, building relations with the communities we are in, spending time in homes doing evangelism, and teaching English. I have felt God calling me to missions for a long time and I feel that he is leading me to this mission field to grow me in my faith and learn discipleship.

Coolest part? YOU have an opportunity to help me get there!! There are two easy ways to become a part of this journey.

Prayer:

  1. For me and my squad, that we would bond together and become like family, and grow stronger in our faith in the Lord. Pray that that we would follow the holy spirit.

  2. For the people we will encounter. That we will connect with them and that the Lord will move in their life!

  3. That the lord will provide for all of my financial needs through one time donations, fundraisers, and ongoing monthly financial support.

Financial support:

The total amount needed for the trip is $15,800. That being said, please pray about being a financial donor to this mission. Any amount is genuinely helpful, but please consider even giving on a monthly basis. My fundraising goal includes the costs of training, travel, lodging, food, and other necessities while abroad. By supporting me you are partnering with me and are helping to further the kingdom of God!

There are two ways you can financially donate:

  1. Online via my blog (http://jostenstanley.theworldrace.org/). Not only does this act as a place for donations, but I will also be posting regularly about my journey — subscribe if you want to stay updated!

  2. By check. You can send checks to Adventures in Missions (P.O. box 742570 Atlanta, GA 30374-2570 C.O. Josten Stanley) or you can send them to me personally (4462 Pipper Rd. Mulkeytown IL. 62865). Whichever you prefer for tax deductible purposes.

However you choose to support me whether prayerfully, financially, or both, I am extremely thankful! If you want to talk, or have any questions, here are some ways to contact me: Email is [email protected]  Phone number is (618)663-5505 or you can DM me on facebook, instagram or you can leave a comment on my blog at https://jostenstanley.theworldrace.org/.

I would love to have a conversation with you whether by a zoom, google hangouts, facetime, or sitting in our vehicles 6 feet apart. Thank you again.

Your brother in Christ, Josten Stanley
