Next on the list was Project Searchlight (PSL) and wow was that something. A whole week jam-packed with driving to Georgia and up to the AIM base and reuniting with my squad. We had seven days to be rejuvenated by The Spirit and to say our last goodbyes before we really went our separate ways. That was the best week of the summer! Every night we spent in worship and heard teachings that helped us better understand what we could expect the transition to be going home and still letting God be ever so present in our daily walk. (10/10 would recommend PSL for future racers!)
The following week…I had to have my wisdom teeth removed. That was hard. I spent a whole week in bed, eating little amounts of the soft food I could eat, and binge watching any show on Netflix I could find. A couple days later I was still in excruciating pain and come to find out I had dry socket. OH MY GOODNESS y’all that was the worst pain of my life. So I had to go back to the dentist to get medicine put in it and I’m going to stop talking about it because it makes me sick even thinking about it. And yeah 10/10 would NOT recommend that one. Nope.
After getting better and healing from that traumatic event I spent some time with friends and caught up on things we missed doing. Coming towards the end of summer I’ve been shopping for necessary items to move to GA tomorrow and getting stoked to start this new adventure God’s going to take me on. I’m still working on the fundraising aspect of this, and great news is here! We’ve hit the first deadline of my CGA goal! You have helped me raise $2,150, that’s so amazing and I’m so thankful for every one of you who have helped me in this process and journey with my relationship with the Lord. With that, I still have $3,800 left to go. Any amount helps and I’m serious, that couple of quarters just sitting in your pocket waiting to get lost in the laundry WILL help me get to the final goal of $5,950! If you’re called to give, hit the donate button and follow the super simple directions, and if not please partner with me in praying for all of the funds to come in!
Thank you for everything and God Bless!
