God, thank you for your conviction because without it we wouldn’t be able to get closer to you. We would miss out on a different perspective He had waiting for us to choose. We have chosen out of a different perspective because it’s scary, it’s new, the new perspective may bring more insight to a situation that brings conviction to yourself. Or the big one, we are too prideful to think we did anything wrong. We opt out of things that are hard because we forgot that God already won that battle and all we need to do is show up. Saying yes is hard but knowing that you at least obeyed God is worth the pain He will bring you out of.

He knows the situation and he knows the outcome. He isn’t surprised. He is the author of our lives. We choose to let Him in because He first chose is. We choose to love because he first loved us. He is the writer and the maker of the beginning and end. Knowing His intimate love is easy, but understanding it is a process we have to initiate to begin. He gives us the free will to let His love be what our lives are about. He draws near in hope we will want Him back. He desperately wants to be loved just like we do. The feelings are mutual. He desires and seeks out our heart. He doesn’t stop because we are His sons and daughters. His tender heart cries out for us but we refuse o even acknowledge his voice. “It’s too hard, it’s too complicated, is he even real?” We say these things searching for something that brings us out of this dismay.

God I want you and your heart for your sons and daughters. Give me a sensible spirit, eliminating apathy and any doubt that you aren’t always present. Give me peace and excitement for each new day. Bless the Devine appointments you set up each day. Let my words be yours because if they are mine who knows what could happen. Thank you for your gracious spirit and the miracles you’ve done in my life.

Continue to break my heart for what breaks yours. Clear my mind for what is to come. I ask for patience and a new perspective on your children. I want to love how you loved and be who you created me to be. I ask all this in Jesus name,
Amen.
