Hey Yall! So this is my first attempt at blogging. But here it goes:

About me:

My name is Josi Presley. I'm 21 years young. And though I gave my life to Christ at the age of ten, I've never known him as intimately and personally as I do now and I absolutely love it!

I grew up in the super small town of Snyder, Texas where I was raised by two of the best people I've ever met. My parents are my best friends and I admit to never being away from my mom for more than a week at a time, nor have I ever gone more than 24 hours without talking to her. My wonderful parents, Teri and Ricky, are a huge part of my life and they have been hopelessly in love going on 30 years now. I cannot begin to tell you what a blessing it's been to be raised in such a happy home. It's gonna be so extremely hard to be away from them for so long : (

I moved around a lot as a child attending 5 different school before eventually dropping out, getting my GED, and starting college early. My college transcript so far unfortunately resembles my high school one. I attended the Art Institute of Dallas first, majoring in fashion design and retail management. After that it was on to Cisco Junior College where I got my basics with a focus on early childhood education. Then, it was off to Lubbock to attend South Plains College with a focus in Psychology. Now I've finally landed at Texas Tech University majoring in Social Work and I'm so happy this is where the college journey will end for me.

When I transferred to Texas Tech God really started tugging at my heart and just making me yearn for more than a basic college kid's life, school during the week and party on the weekends. It was then that He introduced me to Phi Lamb. Sigma Phi Lamba is the sorority that I'm in and I absolutely look at it as a Godsend. Through that organization I've grown so much closer to God. I attend church regularly now and am active in a few bible studies. I never thought I would enjoy diving into the word as much as I do but it's like I can't get enough of it! At one of the bible studies I go to called Paradigm God broke my heart for the world. A speaker one night came and talked  about mission work and God literally put the question right in front of me, "Why should I have to wait on you any longer?" It was at that moment I knew I could deny God no longer and decided to dedicate my life to missions. Be it in my hometown, or Africa, or India, or Mexico, I would spend the rest of my life telling people about the Gospel and God's unfailing love for us.

That night I came home and signed up for the World Race. When I told my parents they were dumbfounded, as were most of my friends and other family members. I was the last person anyone, including myself, could picture going over seas to spread God's word. But I was past the point of no return and I've never felt better about any decision I've ever made in my life. Since I've signed up for the race God has already done such amazing things in my life and the lives of those around me. I am so excited to be on this path right now and I know it's 100% because this is where God has intended for me to be.

This journey has only just begun and it's already crazy exciting! Thank you so much for watching/reading what God is doing in my life through this opportunity and I pray that this journey will impact your life a fraction of the amount it has mine.
