Earlier this week I asked friends on facebook if they wanted to go hiking this weekend. I didn't get many responses. It has been pretty cold. Two of my friends Andy and Josh obliged. Josh suggested a place called Preacher's Rock in Dahlonega, Ga. We had never heard of it but we decided to go there. We met up with Josh hopped in his truck and road up to the start of the hike. Listening to a little dupstep to get us prepared. The hike didn't take to long but when we got to the top the view was so amazing. Such a blessing to just get away and be in God's creation. We could see so much of Northeast GA. We only had the place to ourselves for about 15 minutes. When a group of three (guy and two girls) with two beautiful dogs came and a couple. The group of three was to our left and providing us with plenty of laughs with their banter. The couple and ourselves were really enjoying what they had to say. Which I will not repeat here.Gave us some laughs. After a while the group of three decided to continue their hike. And we continued to talk and easedrop on the couples conversation.(You all know you would too) I was also eyeing ther pack it was really nice. Didn't work up the nerve to talk to them yet. Then part of their conversation got my attention they both started talking about the different mission trips they had been on. Josh leans to me and says I give you about 5 seconds before you start a conversation with them. I said back to Him my people.(missionaries) I started a conversation with the Ryan and Kathleen. I started asking them about their experiences and where they had been. Peru, Japan, and the list went on. Ryan was suppose to go on a mission trip through the International Mission Board called Journeyman but it fell through because of the Board's finaces. He met his wife because that felll through. Praise God for that. Now he can use them together. I told them about a friend of mine named Micah who was a Journeyman in Kenya. Kathleen spoke and told me she knew Micah from UGA. We continued to talk for awhile about their experiences and packs. Before we all left they asked for the address to my Blog so they could keep up with me and pray for me. A divine appointment indeed. Now they are on this journey with me too. And I get another piece of confirmation and inspiration from God that I going direction he was me to go. Thank you God and Thank you Ryan and Kathleen for making a "random" chance to hike forever mean so much more.
