Yesterday we went to church and it was Michael’s turn to preach. We take turns so that everyone takes a turn. We all get up and reintroduce ourselves because we had not been at that church in a while. As Michael begins to speak Pastor Vanessa says she hopes she get the chance to hear me preach at her church. I know if I had of been ready she would have let me speak at that time. All I could say was I was looking forward to the opportunity. As I was sitting there all I could think was why was I not ready? I begin to pray and ask the Father did He have anything for me to say. After sitting and listening He gave me a word for the church. The rest of the time there it was very hard for me to focus. All I could think was I really needed to speak to the church. Unfortunately I did not get the chance because we left early.
One of the things we talk about is being ready when someone asks you to speak. I could not help getting down on myself while thinking about not being prepared. I finally decided to not get down on myself but be better prepared for the next time. I am also going to get the chance to speak at that church on Friday. So it will not go unheard there. I would also like to share with you the message the Father gave me for that church because I feel that it fits the call that He has for all of our lives. It is funny how God works. If I had of been able to share yesterday I probably would not have wrote this email. I hope it hits your spirit.
The word the Father gave me was that we need to be more like Ananais. Too often in life we tend to share the gospel with people that it is easier to share with. We need to realize that the person that no one wants to share with because of fear may be the exact person that needs you. Paul encountered Jesus on Damascus road but HE used Ananais to guide Him. You never know who has already been on their own Damascus road and waiting on you to guide their early walk. Ananais is not known for much outside of being there for Paul when he needed him. However, thanks to Ananais help Paul was able to go on to spread the gospel to the nations and to the gentiles. Those gentiles the bible talks about would be us. So you can thank that man for you knowing Jesus. The bible does not say Ananais wasn’t scared. He just overcame that fear through His obedience to the Father.
I know there is someone in all our lives that we can be that for. I can think of someone for myself just writing about it. Think about that person that everyone else has giving up on. Maybe it is the person at work that antagonizes everyone including you. I am sure you can think of so many other examples that would fit. So do not hesitate go out and find your Paul and be there Ananais.
