As well as working with the boys and other ministries Tony has giving the 8 teams on my squad 8 different projects here to work on. There is so much that stills needs to be done here. Before this place was Zion’s Gate it was the biggest club in Tegucigalpa. It was pretty much the cities Las Vegas. What goes on here stays here. The owner of the club closed it after receiving Jesus in her heart. So in the time in between the property was left unattended. So there is so much work that has been done and still needs to happen. My team is working on clearing out an area clearing out mounds of rock and dirt to make a nice area for them to be able to dry their clothes on lines. I can be honest with you in saying manual labor is not my favorite thing. I am sure over the next 11 months that will change. The process is teaching me a lot though. I am definitely learning to work together with my team, and also seeing a project to its finish. One thing I am learning is how amazing everyone one on my team is. When you get a chance please check out their blogs that can be found on the side of my blog on the left. It is really excited actually to have a project that you can finish. The reason for that is I know working with the boys and the other ministries we will not always get to see fruit from it, and that is okay. I have to keep reminding myself with that it’s for God’s glory and not my own. So having something you can start and finish is fun. Another thing it is showing me is that I have a lot of work to do on my work ethic. I thought I was okay, but I have some Rockstars on my team when comes to that.
It may only be for a season but I feel made for this. He has called my body, my mind, and spirit to the nations. They say home is where the heart is. There is no question my heart is here. So this is my home until God moves us to the next place. Having my heart molded like this could only come from above. He is hard to explain how at home this place feels. And living in a tent isn’t so bad. You should try it sometime; maybe include 11 countries in 11 months with it. I hear there is a trip for that ;). I promise you will not regret it.
