Every day there is always a battle to be fought. I have found that we do a great job when we go to ministry of being focused on what is going on around us in the spiritual realm. Then when ministry time is over we clock out like it is a job.
The enemy never clocks out so we cannot either. I find myself forgetting that he is always on attack. I forget that I can also be on the attack as well. I can defend through the Holy Spirit within me.The enemy realizes when we do things like this. He is more than happy to attack when our defenses are down. So there is no point where it is safe to take your armor off. I am not saying fun is out of the question or free time. I am saying our Spirit’s must always be aware the things around us. We must always be ready to declare in the name of the Holy Spirit and speak against the things that wish to do us harm. We also cannot confuse ourselves into thinking it is people that we fight against. It is the spiritual realm we fight against and the things that have hold over people.
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
We cannot forget this! When we forget we are fighting the wrong battle, and allowing the enemy to win. The times when we remember Ephesians 6:12 that is when he becomes scared. When we take the fight to him we always win. We serve a God of victory! When we fight against the enemy of the most high King we cannot lose. He knows that. It is why it tries so hard to separate us from our union with our Father!
When we feel down and have no reason to explain it, we should not just brush it off like it is just some random occurrence. We should realize it is something that is trying to take us out of our alignment with the Father. It is like the verse says we fight against darkness. We are called to speak against it, not count is as just something that happens sometimes. We have the authority of our Father. We do not have to sit in darkness when we carry the Light.
I have made the mistake myself of taking my armor off thinking that I had a timeout. Made the mistake of thinking he would honor it like we did playing basketball as kids. He does not care; I repeat he does not care about my comfort. The fact that I had a long day and need rest makes his job easier in his eyes. And that is true when we forget how he works. However, when we realize we must rest with our sword and shield at the ready he has no ground to step on because it is all Holy Ground. It is why I am choosing to never punch a clock. The Holy Spirit never takes a day off!!!
