“… So that
others may live…�
This month has been huge for me. I’ve really grown more into
the man that I AM formed me to be. So much of what this past month can be
summed up by the phrase at the top of the page… “So that others may live…� This
is from the movie “The Guardian� and also part of the mantra for the U.S Coast
Guard. Many of the steps from along the way came from daily interactions with
others.
- My
bungee jump was paid for by others helped me to learn more on the whole
“receiving� thing - I’ve
been bitten by a dog, swam with sharks in the water, almost attacked in
the night - Learned
of the Mighty Walls that exist in the rooms of the Lord. They are very
protective. - Held
on to little girls for multiple kilometers - And
felt like a monkey leaving his cage (Planet of the Apes Analogy) - Felt
the struggle of moving in the middle of weed that “easily tangle�
Some of that is just for me but so much of this month is
summed up through the next little bit.
I’m learning about “OBEDIENCE�.
Philippians 2:5-11 “…And became obedient unto
death__ even death on the cross!� Christ
Jesus humbled Himself; humbled Himself to FOLLOW all the days of His life. He
followed the Father, not from obligation, but FROM LOVE & FOR LOVE.
FROM LOVE means that it was from
love that He found the strength to trust God, all the way to the grave; because
He believed in the promise of God’s perfect Love. “We love because He first
Loves US.�
IN LOVE with God’s people, moving
in such a manner as to make everything else “dumb� in comparison, so that
others may live…
~� I consider everything else loss
compared to the LIFE that comes
from knowing Jesus Christ, my
Lord.�~ Philippians 3:8
FOR LOVE: all for love of the
Father. My resolve may fail when it comes to me through obligation, condemnation,
or contrast with evil. My resolve must come out of LOVE for my Father. For, my
love of my Father leads me to learn of my own desires, which are from Him. To
think that His only desire is to love all the He created; to draw all closer to
Him. So for me to claim that I love Him, my
desire should be to fulfill His. My desire should be to help bring
those that are drowning to a Love that lasts.
~ “If you do not love your brother, you
do not love your Lord, the Lord that
gave it all for them.� (1John 4:19-end)
I’m not always perfect, but I can try to the best of my
ability to make this “my mission�. And So, I’ll HONOR THE LORD. I will not fear the pains of this world, I
will not fear the rejection of others, I’ll move in the move in the freedom
of joy, being motivated by love.
Love for my King, Love for my
brothers, Love for my life in Him.
