So you’re wondering who is this Joshua guy?
I just might have some answers for you!
For starters, just in case you stumbled across this page by accident, my name is Joshua Maisner. (But now that you’re here feel free to look around!)
I am 22 years old and was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ by two amazing parents, Bob and Donna, along with an incredible sister named Ashley. I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home and can look back through the years and see how God has been shaping me and molding me for this journey!
I am currently a Senior Marketing student at Belmont University in Nashville, TN and have fallen in love with the South and everything that comes with it, including lots of Sweet Tea. (If you’ve never had it, stay away. Once you start you can’t stop!)
I have spent the last year developing and running an organization called UNITED: FOR CHANGE that helps raise awareness and funds for impoverished children in the Nashville community, America, Africa, and around the world. It has been an incredible experience and played a large role in me going on the World Race.
One of the verses that has inspired me constantly is Isaiah 1:17. Powerful stuff.
Now I bet you’re wondering about the fun stuff too right? All right, here ya go!
I have a slight obsession with Chipotle burritos / Mexican food all together, and I might miss them more than showers or beds on the race.
I spent the majority of my life wanting to be a Killer Whale trainer, just like that kid in Free Willy. I know you’re laughing….
Crazy Love by Francis Chan and The Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne are two of my favorite books; pick em up!
I am a certified SCUBA diver and can’t get enough of it!
I am a big fan of random adventure time. Random road trips can make any day better! Makes the World Race a good fit!
If you made it this far, give yourself a pat on the back. Feel free to email me any questions you may have and thanks for reading!
