I’m beginning my journey to Haiti in just a few hours. I’m not going the day I planned, flights were full so I’m getting there thru the Dominican Republic. I’m not  leaving the time I planned either. I’m not really seeing much of my plans happen. BUT I am seeing GOD’s plans unfold. He is leading me to Haiti in an unexpected way and I have no idea what He has in store, but I’m going.

I can’t help but
sometimes think, “Why me God?” I am just one person, what kind of impact can I
have in a country that has left millions homeless and crying out for help. But
the beauty is that God isn’t calling me to house and feed 3 million people.
He’s asking me to be obedieint and to be willing to let Him use me for a
specific purpose. Maybe I’m only going to listen to a story, maybe I’m only
going to be the arms of Christ and hold one of His crying children, it doesn’t
matter. Maybe I’ll plant a seed, maybe I’ll get to water it, maybe I will get
to see the harvest. Regardless of the what or the who or the why, I know that I get to
play a part in a story that is so much bigger than myself. God wants to reach
out to those around us, WE have the priveledge of being the hands and feet of
Christ. It is humbling but empowering to know who is working through us!

I don’t know
what HE has in store, but I am as ready as I can possibly be. Please pray for
safety, strength, and an overwhelming peace of God’s love for those in Haiti,
the team I’m going with, and myself.

His Kingdom
Come,

Joshua
