To anyone who has not received my support letter in the mail for whatever reason here it is for your viewing pleasure.
Dear Friends and Family,
For the past few years I have become more and more involved with my
church, The Green Church. I play bass guitar in the praise band and am also active in
the Young Adults, Agriculture, and Ecotheology teams that are offered here. While
I have been very satisfied with my involvement with such activities, I have also felt
the desire to be a part of something that has a global outreach as well.
In my searches for international ministry opportunities, I came upon an
organization called Adventures In Missions. I saw all the wonderful missions trips
that were offered through them and it was then that I became aware of the life
changing opportunity that God had in store for me through this organization. That
opportunity is called the World Race.
The World Race is a mission trip that will take me across 11 countries in 11
months. The World Race is not only a mission trip, it is a unique and intensive
discipleship designed to enable a generation to discover their specific Kingdom
calling. Through the World Race, I, along with my teammates, will tap into various
ministries around the world and work with local churches to better facilitate the
Kingdom of God on Earth as it is in Heaven. Various ministries include, but surely
are not limited to, sharing the Gospel, planting churches, working with orphanages,
ministering to the woman and children who’s lives have been trapped into
prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bringing the light of God into the
darkest of places this world has to offer, offering a hope unmatched by others.
While I believe that I am called to the World Race and I also know that I
cannot do this without your help. A journey such as this one requires lots of
fundraising and MANY, many prayers and it is simply not possible without YOU.
There will be many challenges I will face throughout this journey, but most will not
compare to raising the financial support I will need in order to make this trip a
reality. In order to be fully funded by my launch in July 2014, I will need to raise
$16,285. This amount will cover all of my field expenses for the 11 months of the
trip as well as international health insurance. This however does not include certain
initial costs such as gear and travel expenses in the US. As I take this leap of faith, I
ask that you prayerfully consider making a monthly donation of $100 or any other
amount you wish to give from your heart.
