I want to start off thanking the people who have been praying for me and who have supported me during this time. I’m pleased to announce that I’ve made my first deadline. The last couple weeks had been an awesome experience. I went to Gainesville, Georgia for my training camp for the World Race, where we learned cultural do’s and don’ts, ate the food that they will serve in other countries, and had different sleeping scenarios that could happen during the trip. They taught us how to deal with orphans and leaving them without them feeling abandoned. That was just some of the things we did, but I want to share what God did spiritually while i was there for the ten days!
I had lost my phone two days prior to camp. I already knew that it was a God moment, so that I would not be distracted, and be intentional with the people in my group. For a while God has been healing and showing me my identity in Him, showing me to be rooted and grounded in Him. God had showed me how many insecurities that I still had, from public speaking, to feeling like I’m not qualified to even be there. I had my doubts on if I was supposed to be there. But God taught me to hear His voice, and not the enemy’s voice who will try to make you believe the insecurities about yourself. God took those thoughts by using other people to speak life over me. One night I had over 10 different people prophesy over me from a crowd of 300, and it was nuts to hear how accurate they were. Afterwards I felt really encouraged. I had so many prayers answered and if I had to write about it would take me forever! (So I’d love to talk to you in person or on the phone). I also loved the variety of people and different denominations from baptist, to pentecostal, and catholics. They all came together as a Church to go and spread the Love of Jesus to the nations. I also met my squad. They’re awesome people who love the lord and i can’t wait to do life with them. I also know what i will be doing for the first month i’m in cambodia! I will be working with children from 2- 5 years old in the slums of cambodia, we will be help building a school and i’m so excited!
Now in every blog that i will post i’ll be asking for donations my next deadline is less than 3 weeks and i have to raise 4,500 i know it’s a lot but I believe it’s possible with your help!
