I was heading home going on my normal route, when I felt something tell me to take the 60 freeway. I don’t usually take that route home, I take the 91 freeway. As I was on the 60, my gas light turned on so I figured I’ll get off on Pyrite and get gas at shell. As I was going to pay gas I noticed that there was an older man and a little girl about 5 or 6 years old in front of me, I didn’t pay any mind to it. As I was heading to my car the man that was in front of me waved me down. He came up to me with a cane in hand. He begins to ask for some money because his car was broken down and was trying to catch a Greyhound to get home. He told me how much money he had and how much he needed to go home. In my wallet I had 20 dollars (which is a surprise to me because I never carry cash ever). But for that reason I did, and I already knew in my heart that was the reason why.  I took the 60 freeway home that day for that man. I gave him the 20 dollars and he looked at me as if I gave him a diamond ring.  He said “you sure?” I told him yeah man that’s fine and then I asked him if I could pray for him! His face lit up and said “I’m a Christian too!”  He said if he could pray for me as well, he called his daughter over, with a sweet voice she said “coming daddy”. So we got in a little circle and I started praying. When I finished the father told her it’s your turn she started to recite the Lord’s Prayer with her sweet little voice at that time my heart melted. After we got done he began to tell his testimony. After 10 mins of talking we decided to part ways, as I was going to my car I heard the little girl’s sweet voice saying to her dad, “Daddy why was that man so nice?”, and he replied “because he’s a Christian”.  I was reflecting what just happened and thanking God for using me He showed me that loving on that little girl goes a long way, I remember key moments of my life about that age that I remember to this day. I guess what I’m trying to say is that it’s not about giving the 20 dollars but showing love to people who need it changing lives with the time you give to people, so you could plant a seed and watch Holy Spirit do its work!
