Well it has been all to long since my last blog update, and I am sorry for that. It is funny how being on the mission field now for nearly 4 months I see what I do as pretty normal. “Nothing to blog worthy” is what I feel a lot of the time, which I know isn’t true.
This past month in Cambodia has been great. We have split up the men and women into separate teams, aka MANistry. We have been teaching English Monday through Thursday to a few young children, but mostly to Cambodians our age. Twice a week we go to two different villages.  There one team-teaches a children’s bible study and another teaches an adult study.  Yesterday my friend Anthony and I got to teach on Luke 24:36. It is such a blessing to be able to bring Gods words to people here.
Yesterday I had a great reminder of the fragileness of life. How we should be truly thankful everyday that The Lord gives us breath. As we were walking back from dinner, around 7 pm we came upon a Moto crash. I have already seen 3 in the last week so I didn’t think much of it. It is common to have layovers in this crazy traffic. You will find people going the wrong way down the road and running stoplights through traffic all the time.
As we came closer I saw a man jumping over the top of another woman, he was freaking out. He knelt down and started pushing on her stomach, trying to give CPR. I was able to go to her and found that she was breathing and had a pulse but was out cold. She had blood down her back. I kept trying to push the guy away, but since they couldn’t understand me they kept yelling at her and moving her all over. She never woke up and all the while they kept picking her up and then dropping her to the ground. It was really making me angry at how they were treating this young woman who was at the mercy of us all.
Seeing that there really wasn’t anything I could do I stepped to the back of the crowd as the ambulance showed up. Sadly, because they don’t have the money to pay for an expensive ambulance ride she was put back onto the same Moto, still unconscious. I don’t know what happened to her but I was able to pray over her while she was lying in the middle of the road and I hope The Lord keeps her safe and heals her.
