Dear Family & Friends,

I hope your Christmas season was wonderful and I hope the New Year has brought you dreams of what the year 2014 will bring to you and your loved ones! As you may already know, I was blessed with the life-changing opportunity to travel to Tanzania in June of 2012 as a missionary with Adventures in Missions to join with a World Race team for one month of ministry (Video).  Although my time in Africa was short, a passion for international missions was ignited in my heart. I am excited to announce that I have been offered an opportunity to return to the mission field as a missionary for Adventures in Missions’ World Race program in July of 2014!

The World Race is an 11-month journey that will take me to 11 different countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. To be specific, I will be living and doing ministry in the following countries for one month each: Albania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, India, Nepal, Mongolia, and China. I will be given the opportunity to share Christ’s love in a variety of ways as I live among the people of each of these countries. The type of ministry my team and I will do depends on the needs of the local people. For example, I may be teaching English in schools in Romania. Ministry in Swaziland may include serving children in orphanages because of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We might meet the needs of the people of India by providing anti-human trafficking education.

While on the Race, I will be backpacking in each country, traveling with only what I can carry with me. The journey will be difficult. I will be faced with situations everyday that bring me out of my comfort zone. However, I trust that abandoning my possessions and my comfort for 11 months will be worth it. I will be walking into a new way of living life that God has prepared me for over the last 23 years of life. During this process of abandonment, I will be living in 24/7 community with other missionaries and receiving discipleship from people from all walks of life. I will return from this journey a completely different man than I am today.

Would you join me on this adventure? During the Race, I want to share stories of what God is doing in the lives of His children around the world as well as what he is doing in my heart.  I will be updating everyone back home and around the world about my adventure on my blog: joshuabeebe.theworldrace.org. At this site, I will update you with stories from the field, photos, videos, and ways you can be praying for my team and me during our time overseas. Please feel free to share this blog with the people in your life!

I would be grateful if you could partner with me in one of the following ways, all of which are equally vital:

1. Prayer. Prayer is incredibly important for safety & health, abundance in financial support for me and other World Racers, our ministry contacts, the wonderful people in each country, and for the advancement of the Kingdom in all corners of the Earth. Additionally, encouragement from you will make a huge difference during any difficult times on the Race.

2. Financial gifts. To cover all my travel, living, and medical insurance expenses, I must raise a total of $16,252. This is one of the many ways that I will be challenged before and during this journey, and I am excited to see how God will provide. I encourage you to prayerfully consider supporting me financially. I am seeking monthly and one-time supporters. For example, if 30 families or individuals give $50 a month, I will be fully funded by my final deadline on 01/01/15. If you feel led to support me, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for blessing me in this way. I understand that financial support is not possible for everyone. I would be grateful for your continued prayers and encouragement throughout my time on the Race. I promise that prayers and encouragement mean just as much as any gift in my support raising account.
