A few weeks ago, everyone on E Squad received an email asking us to prayerfully consider switching squads. Specifically, they were asking a few men to switch to G Squad and a few women to switch to D Squad. After a few days of prayer, I felt God leading me to switch to G Squad. Mere days before training camp, I emailed my World Race mobilizer and volunteered to switch squads.
This was actually a pretty simple decision to make. I knew I was choosing between two very good options. I also new that God was going to do great things in me and through me either way. Ultimately, I looked to Phillipians 4:6-7 for guidance:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
I felt an abundance of peace at the thought of switching to G Squad, so I made the move. And I’m so glad I did!
Throughout training camp, God confirmed that I made the right move in so many ways. I will share more details about training camp in a later post, but I can assure you, I felt God’s peace about the switch each and every day.
You may be wondering – what does this switch mean for me? Great question! There are two major changes that you should know:

Thank you so much for your prayers and support as I prepare to share Christ’s love in 11 countries over 11 months! Keep an eye out for blogs about our hiking trip on the Appalachian Trail and our awesome week of World Race Training Camp!
