So wow…where do I start? I am 25 years old and graduated from Liberty University class of ’12 with a B.S. degree in Biblical Studies with my minor in Psychology. When I graduated I served as the Pastoral Assistant/Intern for 2 years at a church plant on the campus of Western Carolina University.

This is what it looks like to be an intern:

This is where I got my feet wet in terms of serving God in in vocational ministry. It wasn’t exactly what I expected. I thought it was going to be easy, however God had other things to show me. I needed to grow up. I needed to learn responsibility and mature in my faith. I learned that serving God was not for the faint of heart. You either go in all the way or get the heck out of the way. So fast forward, now I am currently living in The Woodlands TX serving at Starbucks. Yes, I do enjoy coffee. If you know me then you’d probably also know that one day I’m going to open up my own coffeehouse and use it for ministry.

I have ADHD. Just thought I’d let you guys know that now.

Hi, my name is Bear. I am at the doctor’s office 🙁

I love the outdoors. I love adventure. I grew up in Highlands NC, which is a very small mountain town in the tri-state area of GA, SC, and NC. Highlands is situated up on a plateau and has some amazing views. It is a neat quant little town with waterfalls, golfing, hiking trails, leaves that change colors and great weather. Here are some of those pictures:

Some other things that I enjoy:

Cliff jumping, eno’ing, playing soccer, worshipping God with a diverse group of people, playing the guitar, splashing my feet in puddles and muddles, kayaking, backpacking, the mountains, snow, theology, chess, a nice cold dark beer (just one, lets not get crazy here guys), beatboxing, reading, building deeper relationships with people, my chacos, volleyball, Albania, my small group, my family, my church, and my Chemex coffee maker.

I love to travel and experience new things. Seeing and meeting new people and Glorifying God the entire time!

I have been to Bolivia South America a handful of times for spring break mission trips. I have also been to Albania with my church doing VBS and English camps. I am really looking forward to going back to Albania.

Favorite Pandora Station: Bethel

Favorite Book: The Bible, duh…lol 🙂  Besides that I really enjoyed “Bonhoeffer” by Eric Metaxis. I am currently reading “Light Force” by Brother Andrew and “When Helping Hurts” by Steve Corbett. I am usually in the middle of several books at one time.

Favorite Coffee Drink: I have 2. If I’m feeling the need to straight strong coffee then I will go with an Italian style Macchiato (not the caramel macchiato from Starbucks). If I am feeling a little sweet tooth coming on then I will go with an Affagato, Espresso poured over Ice Cream.

Oh Hey…Here is my family.
