These last three months God has blown away all my preconceived notions about who He is and how He sees me. Before the race during my senior year of high school, I knew God could do amazing things, but it was all in my head. My heart and mind weren’t consumed by the glory of God and the miraculous wonders He can achieve. I didn’t understand that the Holy Spirit is in constant pursuit to partner with me through my day to day life. My personal mindset of God was literally the width of a normal brown box. The God of this universe has no limits and honestly is reckless–reckless in the way He’s doing signs and wonders constantly throughout the world and through people. And He’s using the most broken of people to do them, which is such a beautiful picture of His unconditional love. It doesn’t matter how new you are to faith; right when you give your life to Jesus, He’s calling you into action. He’s calling you into a time to do greater things than He did, which is crazy to think about. The truth is nothing is too big for God to do or to heal. In our mortal minds we can get caught up in ourselves and lose the truth that nothing is unattainable for Jesus to do. This is where faith comes in. God has been teaching me so much about faith! In church we hear about having faith as little as a mustard seed can move mountains, which is so amazing. But our faith shouldn’t stop there. Faith is meant to be practiced and to see growth within it. That mustard seed shouldn’t stay a seed but flourish into a huge tree that can move hundreds of mountains. When we start practicing faith, miracles become so much more real and normal. Sometimes miracles seem like the biggest thing when they happen, but the truth is God can literally do anything. So why are we so surprised? Seeing people get healed and become saved should be a normal thing we see in our day to day lives. The Holy Spirit is constantly trying to partner with us through our daily lives. He wants to use us to glorify the kingdom of God and to bring His lost children back to their first love. This was a wake up call for me because I realized life isn’t about me. I can get so consumed by what my purpose is and then totally miss  what God has put right in front of me, which is to seek intimacy with the Father and spread the good news of who Jesus really is. We should get excited thinking that we get to wake up each day and serve the Lord another day! It’s truly an honor and so beautiful!
