Wow…so..I just pulled out a 90's classic for Monday morning worship here at Adventures and it just about made me cry like a baby. The song is called "Heart of Worship." If you don't know that song you may have to go back through your Rolodex of Classic 90's worship songs and give it a listen.

There is a line that really hit me this morning..I know, I know..it may sound super cheesy but give me some grace here. The line says, "I'm sorry Lord for the thing(worship) I've made it, it's all about you, it's all about you." I really had to repent this morning and tell The Lord "sorry." I can make worship about so many other things than what it's supposed to be..A heart pouring out praise to a God who's is eternally worthy. I can make worship solely about me. Now I say "solely" because I've discovered over the years of leading worship, that worship is about me and God. It's the both of us coming together in the cosmic dance of grace. It's a romance, it's a call and response we sing to one another. I love him because he first loved me. I rejoice over him because he first rejoiced over me. I sing to him because he first sang over me. (Zeph 3:17)

The Father is calling us back to himself. Scripture says it like this, we "return to our first love." We have a choice to make. Will you return to the "Heart of Worship?"
