Merry Christmas to all of you!!! This year for Christmas we held a Christmas Eve service at the church that we helped renovate!

We spoke on how Jesus Christ is the greatest gift of all, and we walked them through the story of the birth of Jesus, His death and Resurrection. At the end we lined up the kids and surprised them with a gift.
The kids were so excited. We then celebrated Christmas Eve with our contact and his family…
and we ate tamales (a Panamanian tradition) at 12 am.
It was weird being away from family… There was sadness, but their was joy at the same time, in knowing that we are exactly were God wants us to be!

This month Josh and I really learned how to have open hands to change. Change ALWAYS happens, and though sometimes it’s hard, and it can seem disappointing~ It is always a part of God’s plan. He’s never surprised that something didn’t go as we planned or as we expected. And, He is NEVER holding out on us! Our disappointments are Gods DIVINE appointments! His ways are not our ways, but they sure are FAR better!

We thought we’d be in the jungle for the month, and that turned into 7 days.
We were kind of bummed at the time, but between the jungle, our other contact, and getting to work with two other teams for most of the month it turned out to be our favorite month! Our contact was so great,
He has such a heart for God, and He just loved on all of us! It was awesome to serve along side of him and his church, and to learn from him. We can definitely see ourselves going back and visiting!
We are now in Costa Rica and tomorrow we head out for our 3 days of travel to arrive at the Philippines. We fly from Costa Rica to San Salvador to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Manila and finally to Mindanao. OH BOY! We would greatly appreciate your prayers for travel to go smoothly!=D We will be working with Kids International Ministries (KIM) next month in the town of Malaybalay. We are so stoked!
