12/9/10

This morning as the groups got together for prayer Pastor Moran came in and asked if we could pray for his friend (another Pastor) because his wife died suddenly.  After prayer some people felt the leading that God was telling us to go and pray for them where they were.  So we loeaded up a few taxi’s and went to the pastors house and prayed over them for peace and comfort. It was so sad to see them mourn for their loss, but beautiful to know that we could share in that with them.  We cried, hugged, prayed and worshiped. A midst the pain there was peace, a midst the tears there was comfort. This is what it means to mourn with those who mourn ( Rom. 12:15).  And to do that with people we dont even know, yet we have a bond through Christ!  His wife is now walking past the pearly white gates and down the streets of gold in the presence of Jesus the Holy One with no more pain and no more suffering. It was a moment with so many mixed emotions..pain, sorrow, questions of “why”, love, frustration… but through it all it was so beautiful knowing that God was there.. and He was holding them.. and He was glorified!
