God is so amazing! I’ve realized that along my spiritual journey I started to allow the enemy to sneak in with lies of who God really is to me. I’d fallen back into that “works mentality” and felt like if I didn’t read that day God was probably mad at me. Or if I read, I didn’t feel like I prayed long enough, or something legalistic like that.
When God showed me that my view of Him had been skewed I asked Him to give me a clear perspective of Him again, and I also asked Him to pour His love out on me like Niagara Falls. “God, will you lavish your love on me in such a way that I absolutely know that it’s you?!” Boy does God love it when His children ask Him for sight! Since then, one way right after another, God has just been pouring out His love on us! His love is so beautiful, so sweet! I wrote about how He provided our tent in my previous blog~ and then He has used other people to support us in funds, and has just totally blown us away with people’s generosity and excitement to send us off with love and support! Thank you supporters~ We couldn’t do this without your help. Thank you North Ridge (our home church) for sending us off like you did! We couldn’t have felt more loved by you! ROC (Reaching Out for Christ) You guys are awesome, and we love and miss you all! We can’t wait to come back and hear about the ways you’ve reached out for the Kingdom! Lake Arrowhead Chapel (my old neighborhood church down here in GA) Wow~ God totally poured out more of His love for us through you! You were such a blessing and encouragement to us, and you’re excitement to send us out onto the field was amazing! How some of you don’t even know us, yet through the bond of Christ you showed us such love! Thank you, may God bless you! I’d thank each person thats prayed and supported us financially by name, but that would make this blog far too long.. So to each of you~ THANK YOU! May God bless you in return with good measure, pressed down, and shaken together. I also hope that our blogs will bless you throughout the year!
I also learned through all this that it is so important to stay alert; be on guard! The enemy is crouching around like a lion, looking for someone to DEVOUR! and He will if we aren’t careful. If satan can get you to have a false view of who God really is, He can make you useless and ineffective because you start buying into one lie right after the other; and it doesn’t have to be true to be destructive, you just have to believe it!
So I leave you with this question to ponder~ Do you believe God is who He says He is? A God that loves you and is crazy about you? A God that wants to have an intimate relationship with you? A God that calls you son/daughter? Or have you bought into the lies of the enemy~ that God is always looking at you in disappointment, or that He wants you to work hard enough so that He will love you?
If you’ve started buying into those lies I challenge you to do something about it! Ask God to give you a clean perspective on who God really is! Because if your view on God is skewed, you’ll live your whole life differently, but if its a right, pure view of God~ You will be an UNSTOPPABLE, UNBEATABLE, UNTOUCHABLE enemy to satan, through Christ! *Bri
