Hello subscribers come on down to my third blog!

To be honest, this month’s ministry is the first one I’ve actually looked foward to going every day. Mostly the others we did the type of stuff I did back home for pay, so I was really confused why I had to come all the way to Afica to do the same things as before. Then we got here to South Africa and I love what we do.

In the morning we split up into seperate classes of a preschool and help our teacher with what they need. I start my day in class with a scripture and then I pray for the kids. Then we are learning to count and the days of the week in English and Afrikans. Then we get some play time.  The kids climb all over us and play with my beard and my hair. Next we go and help them with their graduation performance. After that we eat our lunch and color bags for their Christmas presents, for a party next week. We get two hours a day to do this. After that we get to do my favorite part of the day, after care. I get to work with a group of awesome kids with their homework and just helping to make sure they understand what their doing. It makes me so happy to be in there and see them try and then succeed after they have worked. It gives me a sense that what im doing actually makes a difference. Then we go home and cook for ourselvesand get to spend time as a team. I say get to on purpose because community is hard. Sometimes you might just want to throw things at people or just quit. But the biggest thing that God has been showing me is its my choice, i can choose to press in to my team or not I can choose to press in to the people at school or not. same with everyone else i meet its my choice. Honestly some days i dont make the right choice I still at times choose to just be in the room with out being in the room. But God isever faithful even when I am not He keeps speaking choice over me and Im beginning to be able to choose easier each day. Im just having to take it one day at a time. Dont get me wrong I absolutly love my team they push me closer to Jesus than alot of other people because they frustrate me. Iron sharpens iron I know this. My team is probably the greatest team the world race has ever seen! But seriously we will continue to push each other to the fathers heart. Because we will not give up on each other our heart is for the Lord all the way.

So if there is anybody out there who wants to pray for me and my team I have a few requests.

  1. the health of my team
  2. pray against distraction ( this place has lots to do)
  3. peace
  4. quiet
  5. some of my team still needs funds to continue on this journey, carmen kate and braham are stil in need of support, both prayer and financially

for me personally

  1. grace in my struggles
  2. flexability
  3. letting go of control
  4. continuing to hear His voice and obey
  5. choosing joy, choosing to press in and choosing to be a son.
