Here is the story of a new friend…

“I am currently working at a worship school. Growing up, I did not know Jesus at all. My family practiced Hinduism until I was seven years old and from that point on we identified as Roman Catholic. None of us knew what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus, in fact, I believed that all religions were true.

Life wasn’t always easy as a kid. My dad was an alcoholic causing him to be cruel to the rest of the family. This caused a lot of conflict at home and on top of that we had a lot of financial problems. My family was so focused on all of these problems that I often felt alone, which brought me down a path full of drinking and smoking. One thing that stayed the same through my life was my love for music. I left my hometown to look for work and I met someone that told me about a place where I could learn to play music, so I agreed to go.

The next week, I ended up at the a worship school. When I agreed to go, I did not know that it was a Christian place, otherwise I would not have gone. I didn’t like the worship, but I loved the sound of the music so I continued to go. One weekend I went home to visit a friend that was in prison and I thought about not returning, but I decided to give it another try and that decision changed my life forever. When I got back to school I had an encounter with the Holy Spirit during worship. It felt like hot electricity was running through my body from my head, to my toes, and even my fingertips. I had never felt anything like that before. In that moment I began to see that there was something greater at work in this place.

After that encounter with the Holy Spirit, I became more open to the spiritual teachings of the school as well as the musical teachings. At the age of 24 I finally learned the truth about who Jesus is. I began to encounter God in many new ways and I shared all that I was learning with my family back home. My dad stopped drinking. My sister gave her life to Jesus and there was finally some peace in my home. I was no longer lonely.

On the day of my graduation from this school, I felt like the Holy Spirit was telling me to stay and work at the school that had changed my life. This worship school is where I was born again, it is my birthplace, and I hope to stay here for as long as I can. I would also love to write heavenly music to spread throughout this country as a missionary.

I invite you to pray for the worship school and everything that is being done there. You can also pray for continued growth at my home in my family. I also would appreciate prayer for God to reveal His will for my future to me.

Thank you.”
