I would like to take this opportunity to share with you something exciting going on in my life! Just about two years ago I spent some time serving in Quito, Ecuador where I felt God calling me into a life of ministry and missions. At first I wasn’t sure what this meant for me, but I started to pray about and plan for where I would attend college after high school and what I would study. I visited Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky and immediately felt at peace with the where, but was still unsure about the what. Shortly after, I heard about the World Race Gap Year mission program and was intrigued. This would give me an opportunity to do what I know God has called me to while seeking what He desires for me at Asbury University.

I applied for the program and I’m excited to share that I will be serving as a missionary through Adventures in Missions (AIM), in their World Race Gap Year program, a nine month Christian mission to five different countries around the world! In September 2017, I will be leaving the comfort of home with nothing except a backpack and my team to Swaziland, Lesotho, India, Nepal, Guatemala and Nicaragua. We will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, serve in clinics, work in orphanages, minister to cultural Christians living in poverty, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to set aside everything that I know to be comfortable and pursue the One who created me as He allows me to be His hands, feet and voice to people around the world who are desperate for even a glimmer of hope. It is definitely going to be a challenge for me, but I am very excited to shine His light in the world while being shaped into the man God is calling me to be.

God has opened this door and I know He will provide for my needs! So I’m asking you to help me make this a reality. Will you consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in this mission? I must raise $15,500 in order to participate in the World Race Gap Year, which covers all of my expenses on the field. Financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation. Any donation, large or small is greatly appreciated.

You may donate by visiting my blog site at: www.joshuamckinley.theworldrace.org. Just click the “Donate” tab in the upper right side of the page and complete your donation as instructed. All donations are tax deductable.

I can’t wait to see how God will move in my life and in the lives of others in the next six months of preparation and nine months of service. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry.

God Bless,
Joshua McKinley
