We’re at training camp this week and have an opportunity to post a blog, so I thought I’d post an update about what we’ve been up to. So far this has been an awesome time for us as a team. God has really been working here this week and it’s been really fun to watch. We’ve had some great times of teaching which have brought peace and healing through pain and vulnerability. There have been physical challenges which have brought us closer as a team and provided many laughs. God has really blessed me through the people He has chosen to send on this trip. My teammates are so fun, open, and ready to see what God has in store for us.
Recently God has been encouraging me to become more bold and forthcoming, and so that has been my goal this week. Typically I don’t speak up and I wait for someone else to approach me. Fighting through those shackles has allowed me to open up to and more fully enjoy those who God has put around me. Walking up to a complete stranger in Cambodia and asking them if they know who Jesus is still won’t be easy for me, but I suppose that is the point of training camp – to work on that which will prepare us for the field. This is without a doubt the first of many changes. More on training camp after it’s complete…
