What’s up everybody?!
My name is Josh Johnson and I was born and raised in Waterloo, IA but currently live in Farmington, Minnesota. After graduating from a community college, I was hired for a great machining position at John Deere in Waterloo. I could have had a good life and had my future set if I chose that life, but God doesn’t want us to settle for good enough. I felt a calling to do something more, something bigger, something radical. I read the book Unfinished by Richard Sterns and it transformed my world view and how God wants us to live. After reading it, I was determined to not live a normal life of chasing the American dream. I wanted more. I was soon presented with the opportunity to move to Minnesota. I knew it was where I was supposed to be, so I left everything and followed the Spirit’s calling. I heard about the World Race from a friend at River Valley Church and knew it was my next step. And now here I am!
Athletic and Special Skills
- I play basketball, football, and golf recreationally but intensely
- I like to long board sometimes
- Hiking is fun, camping is fun, so is biking, and going to the shooting range
- Downhill skiing is what’s up
- I love to read
- Music is the best
- Shows I watch: The Office, Parks and Recreation, 24, Survivor Man
- My favorite movie is The Lord of the Rings
- I have extreme skills with a bow staff, throwing knives, and computer hacking skills (not really)
