Well boys and girls as launch closes in, so do the enemy’s attacks. He is a sneaky snook that shoots arrows of doubt, fear, and worry at his targets when they are the most vulnerable. Thankfully, we are not left out in the open and defenseless. The Bible frequently talks about the enemy’s tricks and how to combat them- because we are indeed at war.
Ephesians 6: 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground…
When the whispered lies of Satan are heard, we must replace his false words of worry with Words of Truth. When things get heavy and the air grows thick, drop your burdens and take up your sword; “Fight life with Life.” If we can do that, we escape from under the weight of worry, we can breathe the free air again.

2 Cor. 10: 3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
We don’t realize how much power we have. I mean, Scripture straight up tells us the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us POWER, love, and self-discipline (2 Tim. 1:7). We have no reason to ever be afraid or intimidated. We belong the King, we live in victory, the battle has been won, all we have to do is fight! I feel like Jesus is saying to us, what He said to His disciples in the storm, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”
I had the pleasure of listening to Carl Lentz speak a few weeks ago in Minneapolis. He killed it! One thing he said that slapped me in the face was this simple truth,
“You can not worry and worship at the same time.”
Since, as believers, everything we do is an act of worship, we should never worry because we are always worshiping our Creator. That’s freedom!
