Living in Guatemala does have perks, but it's not without some downsides as well. The place we live is beautiful, but we have to hike up a mountain to get there. We get to hike through the jungle when it's not pouring rain outside, and to muddy to walk five feet without falling. This month we have been teaching English, PE, and a gardening class every Wednesday and Friday at the local school. It has really given us a chance to get to know the kids in the community and build relationships with the teachers. We are living with a pastor and his family this month, they have eight kids at home. It is so awesome to be here with them. Luis, the pastor, told us he has been praying for three months that missionaries would come and stay with him. He says we are the answer to that prayer and is so excited just for our presence here. It feels like we haven't done very much this month, but I know us being here is a blessing to the people more than we know. We went on a prayer walk the other day, where we walked around to different houses and prayed for them and the community. We met a lot of people and were able to pray for them. We invited them to come to church this Sunday and one woman showed up with her family. It is amazing to see people respond to God. Life in Guatemala is pretty amazing, can't wait to see what else God has planned for us. Thank you for your prayers and support.
