Hello all, I am alive and am enjoying my time in Ecuador. My stitches are healing well and I should take them out soon. We are now at debrief in Banos and am going to go to the amazon next. That is right , I am going to be living in Shell for the next two months. Shell is about 45 min from the amazon jungle and is also where I was told that Jim Elliot was before he was killed. I am not positive on the Jim Elliot thing , but am loking foward to this amazing opp. We are working with an orphanage and spreading the love of Christ to other tribes in the amazon. I am so excited to go to the amazon and a little nervous, but I know God will protect me .
The first month was challenging , but very benifical. I learned so much about God and how to truly depend on God and that He never will abandon me. This world will not last forever , but Gods kingdom reigns forever and I choose to build up my treasure in heaven. This treasure in heaven requires sacrifice and as I mentioned before the sacrifice includes taking up my cross and following Him. I made my choice already and I am so thankful I did. I am not thankful because it was easy , but because i have learned so much and am stronger than I was before. I looking forward to what God will do in my life and am so thankful for all He has already done .
I am so thankful for all the prayer and I could use prayer for Me to truly depend on God and learn more about how to live a life on a mission. I miss everyone, but I know this is where God wants me . Have a wonderful day and God bless.
