When I read 1&2 Thessalonians, I read about the letters that Paul wrote to his supporters encouraging new believers in their faith to exhort them to godly living and to remind them to pray for each other for physical and spiritual growth.

I am so encouraged by how God serves Us more than we will ever know and He inspires Us each day as I walk this journey with him. If I were to say my journey started when I sign up for the World Race I would be a lair. He has been preparing me way before that! I believe he has been preparing us before we were even following him. God loves you and he loves the lost, the broken, the sick, the hurting and the poor. Choosing to follow him has been the best decision I have ever made!

Supporting each other is a powerful way to connect with God! I have been hearing a word, “Support“, all this week. This month I will be in Thailand and will be learning what it means to support each other.

Timothy’s Encouraging Report

1 Thessalonians 3:6-12 (NIV)

But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see you. Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith. For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord. How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? 10 Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith.

11 Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you. 12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.

(Thanks Rei for letting me share this)

This is a short message of encouragement I received from my sister in Christ. Her family has been praying for me as my team pioneers foreign land embarking new territory for the World Race.

Josh –

Hey Rei! Hope all is well we arrived to Thailand today!

Reilynn –

I am so glad you get to go to Thailand. I miss that place and the lovely people. My kids pray for you every night at the dinner table and when they go to sleep. Aeda gets upset if someone other than her prays and they forget to pray for you!! I guess. You didn’t realize in asking for me as a prayer partner that you were going to get the entire fam!! You are prayed up so get out there and destroy the enemies walls and bring the love of the Lord to many hearts. Keep laying yourself aside so the the Lord can shine through you!! Praying!!!

Josh –

The prayers are working! Rei! It’s important to let Adea know. I was healed with a bad ear problem. Many people in Bali were trying to discourage us but because of the prayers that you and your family sends, I feel God stronger. And Im able to hear a lot of what God has been telling me. It’s so amazing! Rei, thank you because I am now realizing the power of prayer and I am bless to have you as my prayer partner. People have been telling me how they see Christ and I am becoming bold and I don’t feel like I am forcing anything.

I miss Adea so much!

Reilynn –

That’s so weird! She had a ear ache this past week and during that time very persistent on praying for you!! Coincidence? I’m not sure!!! The Lord can use little ones as His vessels too even if they do not understand!! School has been crazy and I feel like my nose is barely above the water at times. My kids remind me to pray for you and I find myself praying for you more often during the week than just one day. So, if you can pray for me that I would not take my focus off the Lord no matter how difficult school feels at times or life with family gets that I continue to choose to run to Him and not sleep or look for strength from Howard or more studying!! Thanks for your prayers too!! I’m excited for what God is going to do in and through you.!!

Josh –

Hey Rei, Thank you for telling me that! All last week, I kept thinking about Aeda because I saw the back of a little girl’s head as she was walking with her father and I was thinking about the promise we made to each other. *(How we would support each other by praying for each other everyday!) I can only feel excitement knowing your children are dedicated to God’s mission for his world. Please, let her know how much I appreciate all the prayers from her! Please pray that I can write down and keep up with all  of what God is revealing to me! I love how patient he is with me. I pray that God will use this time to strengthen you and cause you to depend on him so much more. You will work towards a goal and God’s grace will be how you get through this short time. I don’t know how to swim but my friend asked me to go on an adventure with him to go Suba diving in Bali. I forgot to tell him I don’t know how to swim and I hate water. But God work through me that day because I give him my life and all control. I didn’t think I would make it but God was with me and he was all I need. So much happen and knowing 36 of us have people praying for us has made this month very easy. I don’t know if when it will get hard but I do if I stop praying I will lose focus. So praying continually and always give thanks to the Lord for everything!

Thank you God for your support and for the community that you formed that has one desire to see your dreams come true. I know that by praying and by stepping out in faith in you I will be able to do what you need us to do.

Request for Prayer

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5  (NIV)

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

And to Howard, Reilynn, Josiah, Ella, Ezekiel, Aeda, and Eliazar,

Thank you for all your support and prayers!
